Serving Veterans. Serving Kuna. Serving Our Community.
Johnson-Neilson American Legion Post 142 is a local organization of veterans dedicated to supporting our fellow veterans, their families, and the Kuna community. We believe that service doesn’t end when military service does. Through volunteerism, community programs, and support for veterans, we continue the tradition of serving others.
Our Post is here for veterans in our community. We provide a place where veterans can connect with one another, find information about available resources and benefits, and continue serving alongside fellow veterans. We also welcome those who are currently serving and eligible to become members of The American Legion.
Our members are proud to be involved in the Kuna community. We participate in local events and community service projects and support programs that give young people opportunities to learn about leadership, responsibility, citizenship, and service.
Our Post supports programs including Boys State, Junior Shooting Sports, Kuna American Legion Baseball, and Wreaths Across America, while also taking part in other community activities throughout the year.
The American Legion was founded on the principles of service, patriotism, and support for our veterans and communities. Johnson-Neilson Post 142 carries those principles forward through the dedication and service of our members.
Whether we’re helping a fellow veteran, supporting a local event, honoring those who served, or giving young people an opportunity to grow, our goal is simple: to serve those who served and make a positive difference in our community.
You don’t have to be a Legion member to see what we’re about. Veterans who are eligible for membership are encouraged to join us, and community members are welcome to learn more about the ways they can support our programs and activities.
Join us at our monthly meeting on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. Come meet us, share a meal, and see what Johnson-Neilson American Legion Post 142 is all about.
